Bentley Cars
Founded by W. O. Bentley on 18 January 1919 in Cricklewood near London, Bentley was purchased by Rolls-Royce in 1931. The company changed hands again in 1998 when Volkswagen AG purchased it from Rolls-Royce. The purchase included the vehicle designs, model nameplates, production and administrative facilities, the Spirit of Ecstasy and Rolls-Royce grill shape trademarks, but not the rights to the use of the Rolls-Royce name or logo. The name Bentley is now synonymous with luxury, style and unparalled performance when it comes to cars.
