Ather Bikes
Started in the incubation cell of IIT Madras, Ather Energy focuses on developing advance electric two wheelers for Indian automotive market. The company was started by IIT Madras alumni, Tarun Mehta and Swapnil Jain in 2013. After three years of research, Ather has finally designed & manufactured country’s first indigenously developed electric scooter – Ather S340, which will be unveiled in India on February 23. The company has been funded by a number of venture capitalists like Sachin and Binny Bansal, owners of India’s leading e-commerce giant Flipkart, Dr. V Srinivas, founder of Aerospike and Technology Development Board, Government of India.
