The Vespa Racing Sixties is a sportier version of the SXL 150 that is offered in two dual-tone colour options, green with yellow and white with red. The colour schemes pay tribute to Vespa’s golden era of racing with a perfect blend of retro styling and modern technology. Vespa retails the Racing Sixties at 1.47 lakh in India. On the feature front, the Racing Sixties comes with a full LED headlamp, under-seat illumination, and a USB charging port.
The scooter is powered by a 149.5cc BS6 engine that is capable of churning out 10.64 bhp and 11.26 Nm of torque. The scooter is suspended by a single-sided arm suspension at the front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. For braking, the scooter employs a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear, and is equipped with single-channel ABS. Weighing in at 115 kg, it comes with a 7.4-litre fuel tank capacity.
In the Indian market, the Vespa Racing Sixties holds a distinct niche, primarily due to its displacement and premium pricing. On the competition front, the Racing Sixties rivals against the likes of the Aprilia SXR 160 Race, Yamaha Aerox 155 and the Vespa SXL 150.
