TVS Ronin Launch Today: Price Expectation
Highlights
TVS Motor Company will be launching its latest motorcycle, the Ronin tomorrow, on July 6, 2022. Images of the new roadster from TVS have already been leaked online earlier this week, and show the design of the motorcycle. From what we can see from the images, the Ronin looks like a roadster with hints of neo-retro flavour in its design. The Ronin is expected to be launched with a 200-250 cc engine, and while TVS hasn’t announced anything about its upcoming motorcycle, we expect the new model to get a 225 cc single-cylinder engine.
The TVS Ronin will be positioned below the TVS Apche RR 310, and in fact, offers a completely new flavour in the brand’s product line-up, which include street bikes and sporty roadsters so far. While details of specifications, performance and dimensions will only be revealed tomorrow once the new Ronin is launched, we expect the TVS Ronin to be priced between Rs. 1.5 lakh to Rs. 1.65 lakh (Ex-showroom).
At that price point, the new TVS Ronin will go up against several roadsters and modern classic models in the segment, including the upcoming Royal Enfield Hunter 350, as well as scramblers like the Royal Enfield Himalayan Scram 411 as well as the Yezdi Scrambler.
The upcoming TVS Ronin will offer something completely different than any other bikes TVS has on sale at the moment. TVS has mentioned that “ride with us towards a new way of life” while the company send out the launch invite of the new motorcycle, signifying that the new motorcycle will indeed open up a new segment.
The TVS Ronin is likely to come with a 225 cc single-cylinder engine expected to make around 20 bhp and 18 Nm torque. It is likely to have a 5-speed transmission. In terms of features the Ronin is likely to get a LED headlight, a fully digital round instrumental cluster, and the TVS SmartXonnect Bluetooth connectivity features as well. The bike will feature USD forks up front and a monoshock at the rear, and will come with 8-spoke alloy wheels. We also expect the bike to have dual-channel ABS. The bike sports a teardrop shaped fuel tank, flattish single piece seat, and has a grab-rail at the back. The leaked images showed a dual-tone colour scheme on the motorcycle, completing its neo-retro look.
