Riding upon the 'Make in India' appeal, auto giant 'Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Private Limited' (HMSI) will start production of its high-end sports motorcycle 'CBR-650' in the country from next year, a top company executive said.

The long-wait for the Kawasaki Z250 is finally over, as the company finally launched the bike in India today. Priced at Rs 2.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Z250 is the third member of the company's Z family of naked bikes.

It is the company's first motorcycle engine with variable timing of both, the intake and exhaust camshafts. With DVT (Desmodromic Variable Timing), Ducati has surmounted an engineering void that inflicts current production motorcycle engines.

Kawasaki is said to be now gearing up to launch the Z250 and the Er-6n in a few days; on October 16, 2014, to be precise.

Hero Motocorp, world's largest two-wheeler maker, today rolled out two new bikes in India - Splendor Pro Classic and Passion Pro TR. While the Splendor Pro Classic is priced at Rs 48,650 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Passion Pro TR comes with a price tag of Rs 51,550 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Bike enthusiasts across the globe know how Ducati had been keeping its audience on the edge with all the waiting for the Scrambler. Well, the good news is that one need not wait anymore since the contemporary bike is 'officially' ready. Hallelujah, eh?

Initially, the company will launch affordable cruisers in the 300-500cc range and intends to enter other segments at a later stage. To make these bikes affordable, the company is aiming to achieve up to 70% localisation level.

Mahindra Two Wheelers today launched their global scooter in the 110cc category - the Gusto. The company said that the Gusto will come at an introductory price of Rs. 43,000 (ex-showroom Delhi)
