Upcoming EVs To Launch In India In FY2025

Here’s a quick look at the top electric vehicles set to launch in India soon.

MG Windsor EV — Sep 2024

MG’s upcoming electric crossover will be positioned below the ZS EV, and is expected to deliver a range of around 460 km, and 134 bhp and 200 Nm torque on tap.

BYD eMAX 7 — Sep 2024

The BYD eMAX 7 will replace the e6 MPV in the Indian market, and this time around, it will also get a third row of seating on offer. 

Kia EV9 — Oct 2024

The EV9 will soon enter the Indian market as the flagship Kia, with 3 rows of seating, a 5-metre length, and a 99.8 kWh battery pack.

Mercedes-Benz G-Class Electric — End 2024

The 579 bhp Mercedes-Benz G580 EQ is set to hit the Indian market before the year ends, with bookings already open.

Mahindra XUV.e8 — Dec 2024

Mahindra’s first “Born Electric” EV — the XUV.e8 — will hit the Indian market by December this year, and will essentially be an electric counterpart to the XUV700.

Maruti Suzuki EVX — Early 2025

Maruti’s first EV in the country will be first showcased at the Bharat Mobility Show 2025, and is expected to carry a 60 kWh battery pack with a range of around 550 km. 

Hyundai Creta EV — Early 2025

An electric derivative of Hyundai’s most popular SUV is in the works, and apart from styling changes, we expect it to get a 50-60 kWh battery pack and around 500 km range.

Audi Q6 e-tron — Early 2025

Audi is set to introduce the Q6 e-tron electric SUV in India next year, as a smaller stable-mate to the Q8 e-tron. Internationally, it gets single and dual-motor powertrains, with a 100 kWh battery.

Tata Harrier EV — Q4 FY2025

An electric derivative of the recently updated Tata Harrier is in the works, and should hit the Indian market next year. It will slot in above the newly launched Curvv EV.

Skoda Enyaq — Q4 FY2025

Skoda is set to launch its first EV in India next year in the form of the Enyaq, which should form a strong contender in the sparsely populated mid-size electric SUV space in India. 

Volvo EX90 — Q4 FY2025

With a 111 kWh battery delivering up to 482 kms range, and 509 bhp & 910 Nm torque on tap, the EX90 will be launched in India next year, in the same segment as the Volvo XC90.
