Triumph Scrambler 400 X vs Triumph Scrambler 400 XC: Differences Explained

Triumph Motorcycles India recently expanded the Scrambler 400 X's lineup with the launch of the new 400 XC variant. We take a look at all that is different between the new variant and the standard model.

Differences

The XC variant gets various accessories as part of its standard package, including a few which are available as optional extras on the 400 X. These accessories include tubeless cross-spoke wheels, having the same 19-inch front and 17-inch rear dimensions, along with a body-coloured flyscreen and a break-style front fender. The XC also gets an aluminium sump guard and engine crash protection as standard.

Colour Options

The Scrambler 400 XC comes in tree new colours: Racing Yellow, Storm Grey, and Vanilla White. On the other hand, the Scrambler 400 X is offered in four different paint schemes.

Engine Specifications

Both the variants get the same powertrain setup: a 398 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine rated at 39.45 bhp and 37.5 Nm.

Price Difference

The Scrambler 400 XC commands a premium of Rs 27,000 and costs Rs 2.94 lakh (ex-showroom), compared to the standard variant's Rs 2.63 lakh price tag.
