JSW MG Motor India has launched the new Windsor EV, the first electric car in India to get a Battery as a Subscription (BaaS) model.
The Windsor EV is priced from ₹9.99 lakh (introductory) onwards but it does not include the battery cost.
The battery on the Windsor EV is rented from the company lowering the acquisition cost. Instead, MG will charge you ₹3.5 per km on a subscription basis.
The Windsor EV packs a 38 kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 331 km on a single charge. Power comes from an electric motor belting out 134 bhp and 200 Nm.
The Windsor is big on features including a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a freestanding digital display, a reclining backrest up to 135 degrees, 360-degree cameras and more.
Bookings will commence from October 3 and Test drives will start from September 25, 2024.
