MG Motor India has launched the 2023 Gloster Blackstorm edition in the country. This all-black special edition model gets updated styling and features, along with Level 1 ADAS functions
MG Gloster Blackstorm Edition Launched!
The MG Gloster Blackstorm gets a deep Black colour. In fact, MG has used two shades of black – Metal Black and Metal Ash – to highlight the different visual elements of the SUV like the badging and inserts. It also gets red accents on the headlamps, callipers, and front and rear bumper.
Bold & Black Exterior
Inside, the l Gloster Blackstorm edition continues to get the all-black treatment with more red accents. The seats are upholstered in leatherette covers that come with contrast red stitching.
Dark & Elegant Cabin
Other features also include - a dual panoramic electric sunroof, 12-way power-adjustable driver seat, driver seat massage and ventilation features. MG has also added red accents on the headlamps, callipers, and front and rear bumper.
Smart Features
The Gloster Blackstorm comes with around 30 safety features including first-in-segment Level -1, Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) like - Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Parking Assist, Lane Change Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Detection and more.
Level 1 ADAS
The SUV continues to come with multiple driving modes and MG says that the 4WD system has also been updated. Now the Gloster features the BorgWarner transfer case, a more advanced electronic shift-on-the-fly technology.
Updated 4WD System
Under the hood, the SUV gets the same 2.0-litre diesel engine, offered in both a standard turbo and a twin-turbo option. The 2WD variants get the 2.0-litre turbo diesel, while the 4WD trim gets the more powerful twin-turbo unit. Both get an 8-speed autobox as standard.
Engine & Transmission
The MG Gloster Blackstorm will be offered in both 2WD and 4WD trims, and each will available in both 6- and 7-seater options. The SUVs are priced at ₹ 40.30 lakh and ₹ 43.08 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively.
