Before the launch took place, as many as 55 per cent of the bookings Maruti received were for the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol Fronx.
However, once the prices were announced, buyers shifted to the 1.2-litre NA engine in droves, with 85 per cent of them preferring it over the turbo-petrol option.
Maruti Suzuki’s Shashank Srivastava opined that buyers appear to be seeing greater value in the less powerful 1.2-litre version, which is only available in lower trim levels.
Variant-to-variant, there is a difference of a full Rs 1 lakh between the 1.0 Turbo Delta Plus and the equivalent 1.2-litre variant.
