The recently launched Mahindra Thar Roxx may seem similar to the Thar 3-door, but plenty separates them in skin and features. Here’s a quick check on what’s different.
The new Thar Roxx is 443 mm longer, 50 mm wider and 79 mm taller than the Thar 3-door. The wheelbase is 400 mm longer than the 3-door Thar bringing a usable second row and cargo space.
The Thar Roxx is instantly recognisable as a Thar but gets a new grille, C-shaped LED DRLs, and new bumpers. It also gets the angular C-pillar design, new alloy wheels, and revised taillights.
The Thar Roxx is more extensively packed with LED projector headlamps with DRLs, LED taillights, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, a bigger infotainment system, leather upholstery and more.
The Thar Roxx packs extra on the safety front with ADAS, six airbags, a 360-degree Camera with a blind-view monitor, and other active and passive electronic aids.
The Mahindra Thar 3-door gets the 1.5-litre and 2.2-litre diesel engines with a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine on offer. In comparison, the Thar Roxx gets only the 2.0-litre turbo petrol and2.2-litre turbo diesel on offer. Both are paired with manual and automatic transmissions withRWD. 4x4 is available only on diesel engines.
