Kia has showcased its most affordable electric SUV yet, the EV3, in concept form, which is based on the Hyundai Group's E-GMP architecture, and will have a sub-$30,000 (₹ 30 lakh) starting price.
The EV3 showcases a condensed design inspired by Kia's EV9 and EV5, featuring a new take on the 'Digital Tiger' face, slim LED lights, and a sealed-off front-end.
Inside the EV3, it offers a minimalist interior with a twin-screen setup for digital instruments and infotainment, a flat-folding rear bench and a full-glass roof.
Kia plans to offer various battery options, ranging from 50-70 kWh, with single and dualmotor configurations, and power outputs between 200 bhp and 300 bhp.
The production Kia EV3, set to roll out in the first half of 2024, will also incorporate generative artificial intelligence (AI) and will be offered in long-range and performance GT models.
