An 18-year-old boy from Kerala has modified a humble Maruti 800 into a mini Rolls Royce lookalike at his home.
The modified Maruti 800 features larger grills, a massive bonnet, a redesigned bumper, better interiors, LED DRLs, and a new paint job. Hadif also got the car bonnet made by a local artist, which reads "Spirit of Ecstasy."
This is not the first vehicle that Hadif has tinkered with. Previously, he had worked on a Jeep project, using a motorcycle engine.
Hadif modifies the vehicles at his home and he likes the attention his creations get when out on the road. He is a self-taught mechanic and has learned everything he knows from watching online videos and tutorials.
In a related incident, a Mathematics teacher from Srinagar built a solar-powered car from scratch. It took Bilal Ahmed 11 years of research and hard work to develop the car, as he did not get the financial support he needed.
Bilal Ahmed's passion and dedication caught the attention of Anand Mahindra, who offered to help him further develop the vehicle. Mahindra tweeted that his team at Mahindra Research Valley could work alongside Ahmed to help him evolve the design into a production-friendly version.
