The second made-in-India Triumph model costs about ₹ 30,000 more than the Speed 400.
The Scrambler 400X shares the same platform and engine as the Speed 400 though it gets several changes giving it a unique personality, character and sense of purpose.
The Scrambler 400 X is powered by the same 398 cc, single-cylinder, engine as the Speed 400 developing 39.5 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 37.5 Nm at 6,500 rpm. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox with a torque-assist clutch.
Changes to the 400X include a more upright riding position, wider handlebars, a larger brake pedal and lower set footpegs. It also gets longer-travel suspension, larger brakes and a 19-inch front wheel.
The Scrambler 400X is priced from ₹ 2.63 lakh (ex-showroom) making it roughly ₹ 30,000 more expensive than the Speed 400.
