Hero MotoCorp auctioned 75 examples of The Centennial motorcycle which raised a cumulative ₹. 8.58 crore. The highest bid was for ₹. 20.30 lakh. The proceeds from the auction will be donated to charity.
The Centennial pays homage to the company’s founder chairman,
Dr. Brijmohan Lall Munjal on his 101st birth anniversary.
The Hero Centennial is based on the new Karizma XMR 201 and gets a part-carbon fibre semi-fairing, machined and anodised handlebars, triple clamps, rear-set footpegs, aluminium swing arm and carbon-and-titanium Akrapovic exhaust.
With a production run of just 100 units, 25 units will be displayed at Hero facilities and dealerships. One lucky customer stands a chance to win the motorcycle.
