Maruti Suzuki has confirmed its first
all-electric car for India will be revealed in January 2025.
Maruti Suzuki will debut the production-spec EVX electric SUV in January next year. The model was showcased as a concept in 2023.
The EVX is the first of the six new EVs planned by the automaker till 2031. The automaker confirmed that the second EV will come soon after the EVX’s India launch.
The EVX is undergoing extensive testing and will be a global model. It will be about the same size as the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara.
The test mules' cabin suggests a twin-screen layout, vertically oriented air-con vents, and a rotary gear selector.
The Maruti Suzuki EVX will be manufactured in India at the automaker’s Gujarat facility for domestic and global markets.
