As polarising as the i7’s design may be, the car will grab your attention for sure. The grille is illuminated, while the DRLs has made of crystals. The car runs on 21-inch M Light-alloy wheels, and while the LED taillights look cool you don’t get sequential indicators.
The BMW i7 comes with power-assisted doors which fully open for you at the press of a button. Once inside, you can close it at the press the touch-sensitive button, or by simple pressing on the brakes. You can also control the doors using voice commands.
The i7 comes with a luxuriously appointed cabin with heating, ventilation, and massage function for all 4 passengers. Some of the buttons and knobs made of Swarovski crystals, and you get 4-zone climate control and a panoramic glass roof.
The tech offered with the i7 is also impressive. The wide display houses two screens – 12.3-inch instrument cluster and 14.9-inch infotainment with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto. You also get wireless charging, 15-colour ambient lighting, HUD and 360-degree camera.
The i7 gets a reclining rear lounge seat along with a 31.3-inch 8K roof-mounted display, loaded with Fire TV. The rear passengers also get a 5.5-inch display with a host of in-car controls. The car is designed to pamper you.
The BMW i7’s two electric motors that draw power from a 101.7 kWh Lithium-Ion battery pack. Combined the make - 536 bhp and 745 Nm, however, you also get a Boost Mode that unlocks all the power of the electric car for 10 seconds. The i7 goes from 0-100 kmph in 4.7 seconds.
At ₹ 1.95 crore (ex-showroom, India) the BMW i7 is ₹ 36 lakh more expensive than its closest rival, the Mercedes-Benz EQS 580. However, the i7 has the unique character that we love and the i7 will certainly get you all the attention you deserve.
