BMW has expanded its global line-up with the debut of the all-new iX2 and X2.
The new X2 is dimensionally larger than its predecessor, and now features a radically different silhouette with a coupe roofline. The iX2’s design is identical to the standard X2 save for a closed off grille and the lack of an exhaust pipe.
Open the doors and here too the differences between the X2 and the iX2 are minimal. The new dashboard features a 12.3-inch infotainment display and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster merged into a single unit.
Some feature highlights on the car include- Park Assist, BMW Head-Up Display, electrically adjustable seats with massage function, wireless charging, cruise control with brake function along with steering and lane control assistant.
The all-new X2 is available with three powertrain options globally, all mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission- a 1.5 litre petrol mill (154 bhp, 280 Nm), a 2.0 litre diesel (149 bhp, 360 Nm), and a 2.0 litre petrol (297 bhp, 400 Nm).
In terms of competition, the second-gen BMW X2 will go up against the likes of the Audi Q4 and the Jaguar E-Pace.
