Will Driving Tests be Non-Compulsory for Obtaining a Driving License?
Several new rules on driving tests and licenses have been released by the government
The Central Government has considerably simplified the regulations for obtaining driving
licenses
There is no need for any driving test by going to the RTO as per the guidelines of the Union
Ministry of Road Transport and Highways
Without going to the RTO, any reputed driving training institution can enable aspirants to register
for their driving licenses
Applicants will get certificates from their schools upon the completion of the requisite training
and pass the test at their schools itself. The driver’s license will be issued on the basis of this
certificate
Trainers should have five years of driving experience, a 12th grade diploma, and knowledge of
traffic rules
The Government has also recommended a curriculum, with the light motor vehicle course lasting
up to 29 hours and 4 weeks at a maximum. People should learn driving for 21 hours on city
and highway roads and in other scenarios
