Toyota Unveils All-New Vellfire

Toyota’s MPV debuts with new engines, more tech and more aggressive looks
What Is It?
The sister model to the Toyota Alphard, the Vellfire is now in its third generation and sits on Toyota’s TNGA-K platform
Exterior Design
Compared to the outgoing model, the Vellfire gets a notable redesign with an oversized horizontal slat grille, large side vents and slim LED headlamps. The rear is in-line with the Alpard but gets a sportier bumper and redesigned taillamps
Interior Design
The cabin follows a minimalist theme with a large central touchscreen and few physical switches. An overhead console now extends to the back and houses climate controls and power window switches for rear passengers
Seating Arrangement
As before the Vellfire offers three rows of seating with the Executive Lounge package upgrading the middle row with individual chairs with extending ottomans and a range of adjustments.
Features
The Vellfire packs in bits such as a powered step for easy ingress and egress, individual sunshades for the moonroof for rear left and right passengers, ADAS functions and a remote parking feature
New Powertrains
The new Vellfire for the first time gets a 2.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine. Additionally, the hybrid powertrain is offered with a two-wheel drive layout for the first time along with the all-wheel drive E-Four variant
