Safety features of level 2 ADAS have been incorporated in 2023
It is a new section of safety features that have been incorporated
in the new-gen Verna. ADAS stands for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. Control of
the brake system, acceleration and steering in various situations has been developed
What is Level 2 ADAS
This feature detects any objects in front of the
car and applies the brakes to avoid a collision. Pedestrians, bicycles, and automobiles are
detected. Even if a vehicle is approaching from the blind spot, the car immediately
changes its lane to prevent a collision
Prevention of Collision and Its Detection
It is called a Driver’s Attention warning. If the driver is idle for a very long
time it asks the driver to apply breaks
Sleep Killer
Turning Avoidance- In case any car comes from the opposite direction, Verna
will detect it and prevent the car from colliding
Junction
To avoid collisions, the new-generation Verna will switch from
a low-intensity to a high-intensity beam whenever a car from the opposite side is
detected. After the car has passed, the light will return to its low-intensity setting
Intense Beam Assistance
The lane following mode will detect the lane
markers and assist you to follow the same lane. Also, it will alert you incase you are
changing lanes. Incase of inattentiveness, the lane keep assistance will automatically
return the car to the same lane
Lane following & Departure Assistance
The leading vehicle departure alert is activated if
the vehicle in front is driving away. To avoid collisions while crossing, the rear cross-
traffic warning and avoidance assist warn the car
LVDA, RCCA and RCCW assistance
Safe Exit Warning is a new security feature that detects
vehicles from behind. This allows one to be aware of a vehicle approaching from behind
while parking, allowing one to open the door and exit safely
