Made-in-India Triumph Bikes
The new entry-level Triumph motorcycles will be manufactured by Bajaj Auto at the latter’s Chakan plant in Maharashtra. The bikes are expected to be based on a new platform with an engine with displacement of around 400 cc.
Two New Entry-Level Triumphs
The company is expected to launch at least two motorcycles on July 5 – a Roadster and a Scrambler. Both bikes have been spotted testing in India on multiple occasions and are expected to be Triumph’s answer to Royal Enfield both at home and abroad.
What to Expect From the Roadster?
The new model is likely to form part of the Bonneville range and get hardware such as a USD fork, a rear monoshock and disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS. The bike for India also gets some tweaks such as a saree guard and a front number plate housing.
What to Expect From the Scrambler?
The scrambler too is expected to get similar hardware as the roadster moving away from the twin-shock rear set-up of the Street Scrambler. The model however is expected to share some styling details with the latter.
Engine Details
We expect the entry-level made-in-India Triumph motorcycles to be high quality motorcycles. The motor will have a displacement of around or just under 400 cc, with liquid-cooling, and is likely to set segment benchmarks in terms of refinement and quality.
