Most EVs issue alerts when the battery starts coming closer to zero, you will be alerted to find nearby charging stations. Many EVs also have accurate distance estimates with the remaining power

Conserve power if you are stranded somewhere or have taken an unknown pathway without charging stations; this will help you shift to somewhere safer before the battery drains fully

If the EV is suddenly out of juice, you can get it towed with roadside assistance, to the nearest charging station

You can also request the use of a power socket at a petrol pump, you will however have to wait for many hours before you can drive again while paying for the service too
