The Jeep Compass was officially launched a few months ago and has already been a successful product for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles or FCA in India. Jeep currently have only been delivering the diesel powered Compass in its two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive drivetrain options. Deliveries of the petrol version of the SUV, which gets both an auto and a manual gearbox have not officially begun yet and are expected to commence in October for individuals who had booked the SUV earlier. Customers who book the SUV now though will have to wait for about two months to get delivery of the SUV due to high demand, especially in the automatic version of the SUV.

The new Tata Nexon SUV is set to go on sale in India on September 21 and will rival the likes of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and Ford EcoSport. Bookings for the Nexon have already started across India for a token of Rs. 11,000.

The upcoming Mahindra U321 will come with a premium cabin with a host of comfort and safety features. The new MPV will rival the likes of Toyota Innova Crysta and is expected to be launched in India in mid- or second half of 2018.

Bookings for the new Renault Captur will officially start in India from September 22. The car will go on sale in the country in October, with prices starting at Rs. 11 lakh, going up to Rs. 16 lakh (ex-showroom).

Electric vehicles are in focus at the moment but customers and the market will ultimately decide which powertrains will be successful.

The new top-of-the-line Mahindra TUV300 T10 trim adds subtle exterior upgrades and more features to the cabin including a touchscreen system and leather seats. Android Auto is yet to make it to the list.

The all-new Volvo XC40 is slated to make its global debut later this week, on September 21. The SUV is built on the company's Compact Modular Architecture (CMA) platform and shares a lot of its safety features with the bigger XC models.
