Images of a test mule of the upcoming Volkswagen Tiguan AllSpace have surfaced online, and the model caught testing in the top-spec R-Line variant. We were the first ones to tell you that the new long wheelbase, 7-seater Tiguan AllSpace is slated to be launched next year and it will replace the existing 5-seater SUV currently sold in India.

Volkswagen AG has already announced that the company plans to introduce 34 new offerings in 2020 and the carmaker will be focussing on crossovers and SUVs, keeping up with the industry trends. The German carmaker is lining up a number of products in this space and has trademarked a handful of names for new models. According to recent reports, Volkswagen has trademarked the names - T-Sport, T-Go and T-Coupe - at Germany's patent office, hinting at a number of compact crossovers from the manufacturer.

The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza facelift has been in the works for a while now and it seems the model is ready for a market debut by early next year. There's heavy concentration on SUVs for the brand across the world and in an interview with carandbike Volkswagen India's Director, Steffen Knapp, said that the company plans to SUV-ise the VW brand in India and 4 SUVs will hit the market in the next 2 years. The fact remains that SUVs have brought in the moolah for the company and VW is latching onto that trend. Well of course, it is also investing heavily in electric and hybrid technology, and the products will roll out next year.

So far the company has had only one SUV in the country - the Tiguan and it has had its share of success here. In fact, in November 2019, the company sold 176 units of the SUV which marked a leap of 83% compared to the same period last year.

The Ferrari Purosangue SUV or the FUV as the brand's marketing guys like to call it, is coming closer to production. The all-new offering is the first utility vehicle from the Italian automaker, as the brand bucks to the trend of performance SUVs.
