General Motors Co's Super Cruise once again edged Tesla's Autopilot in an evaluation of 17 vehicles equipped with active driving assistance systems (ADAS) by Consumer Reports, the testing organization said on Wednesday.

With this investment in AEye, Continental will utilise its LiDAR technology which is set for production at the end of 2024.

The Taycan 4S has a battery range of 463 km and it is the first production vehicle with a voltage of 800 volts. It can charge at 11kW AC charging.

Tesla had claimed at launch that its self-driving chip was 21 times faster at a frame per second processing while only increasing power consumption slightly.

The Waymo Driver platform will elevate the ADAS capability of this truck beyond level 4. It will be able to handle most driving conditions.

The Kinetic Safar Jumbo electric cargo three-wheeler has been designed for last-mile delivery needs of e-commerce buyers, and promises a range of 120 km on a single charge with a top speed of 55 kmph. It also gets fast-charging as optional.

Mercedes also doesn't have ambitions to enter the ride-sharing market which is being viewed as one of the tentpole models.

The joint battery venture between Toyota and Panasonic is called Prime Planet Energy & Solutions Inc, and is now the world's largest supplier of batteries for hybrid vehicles.
