Scuderia Ferrari has received a hefty fine of 50,000 Euros for the incorrect pitstop during the 2018 Formula 1 Bahrain GP. The incident during Kimi Raikkonen's pitstop ended with one of the mechanics being hurt and suffered a fractured leg after being hit by the car. While the incident abruptly ended the race for Raikkonen, the mechanic was attended by the paramedics and taken to the hospital and is currently recovering.

The 2018 MotoGP Argentina Grand Prix saw some unexpected results and taking a surprise win turned out to be Cal Crutchlow of LCR Honda satellite team in a last minute battle with Johann Zarco of Tech 3 Yamaha. The 2018 Formula 1 Bahrain Grand Prix culminated amidst lots of nail biting action with Sebastian Vettel claiming his second win of the season. The Scuderia Ferrari driver started the race on pole and continued to hold on to the top spot with a lead of0.699s, resisting the charge from Mercedes' Valtteri Bottas in the final stages.

Having taken the first win of the season, Scuderia Ferrari will be starting the Bahrain GP with a front row lockout. Sebastian Vettel took a scintillating pole at the Sakhir circuit completing the lap in 1m27.958s and was closely followed by teammate Kimi Raikkonen in second place with a gap of 0.143s. Meanwhile, Mercedes driver Valtteri Bottas will be starting the Bahrain GP third, while Lewis Hamilton took the fourth place in qualifying.
