Benelli TRK 502 Confirmed for 2016 Launch

Benelli India has confirmed the Indian arrival of its TRK 502 - which was showcased at EICMA 2015 a few weeks ago. The latest adventure tourer from the Benellli stable will be a good breather for the Indian enthusiasts who have been waiting for an affordable tourer for the longest time.
The engine of the Benelli TRK 502, which was showcased at the EICMA 2015, is a parallel-twin, liquid-cooled, 500cc engine which has been recently developed by Benelli to propel its latest generation of motorcycles. The engine, clubbed with a six-speed gearbox, will provide a peak output of 47bhp at 8,500rpm and 45Nm at 4,500rpm.
To make touring easy on the TRK 502, Benelli has given a 20-litre fuel tank on it. Considering the mammoth size of the 600 GT, 27 litres to be precise, this might not be too much, but will provide long ranges on and off the road.

Some of the features to compliment the performance of the Benelli TRK 502 are two 320mm discs at the front and a 260mm at the rear with ABS as standard. In the standard version, the bike will be given two 17" alloys with Pirelli Angel rubbers on them - 120/70 at the front and 160/60 at the rear. The 'off-road' version of the Benelli TRK 502 will be given aluminium rims at both the ends to help it withstand the harshness of harder terrains. The off-road version will have a 19" rim at the front and a 17" rim at the rear for better handling. The front of the bike has been given a purposeful look which allows the rider to take it anywhere without worrying about anything.
Benelli refused to comment on the price of the TRK 502, but we assume that it will be priced somewhere between Rs. 5 - 5.5 lakh. Considering the fact that Kawasaki Ninja 650 costs a little over Rs. 5.5 lakh, the Benelli TRK 502 might emerge as a winner in the segment which is rapidly catching up soon in the Indian automotive world.
