Highlights

Tata Motors unveiled their next-gen hatchback which will hit the Indian markets in the second half of this year. Christened, Bolt, the hatchback stands testimony to the work that has gone into transforming not only the look of the car but also the image of the Indian automotive giant.

Based on the X1 platform, the Bolt gets the Vista DNA and though there is a strong resemblance, the new hatchback still manages to look different.

The car will be powered with the 1.2T Revotron petrol engine which is capable of punching out 65bhp and 140Nm torques. This is the first time that Tata has shown interest in petrol engines and with the Revotron series of engines, they have stuck to that commitment. Indeed we all missed the exuberance of the Late Karl Slym, afterall, it was his idea to transform the look of the cars and the brand.
