Highlights

BMW returned to DTM racing in 2012 after 20 years and still managed to win the top spot as its Canadian driver Bruno Spengler won the drivers title and BMW scooted off with the manufacturers title. Now ahead of the 2014 DTM season scheduled to start in Hockenheim, Germany on May 4th, BMW revealed this years competitor - the BMW M4 DTM.

The BMW M4 DTM race car has the aspirated 4-litre V8 which churns out a hefty 480bhp. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a 6-speed sequential gear box. The fuel tank is integrated with the chassis and is a carbon fiber monocoque consisting of the fuel tank and a steel roll cage.

The M4 DTM gets 18-inch forged aluminium alloy wheels. BMW in the last DTM edition used its M3 coupe based car and this year with the M4 is confident of having a successful DTM season. Official testing for DTM's 2014 season gets underway in Budapest later this month.
