The BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe is the entry-level sedan in the Bavarian carmaker's India line-up. It's the first-ever 2 Series Gran Coupe to come to India and is certainly a very capable car. BMW India launched the 2 Series Gran Coupe in the country last year and it first brought in only the diesel variant of the car. The company followed it up with the 220i petrol and subsequently the 220i M Sport, to just give the customers an edge when it comes to the entry-level luxury segment. So, if you are planning to get the 2 Series Gran Coupe, here are some key pros and cons that you must know about.

The BMW 2GC comes with the signature kidney grille with vertical chrome slats, stretched silhouette, and four frameless doors

Pros

1. The BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe is a handsome-looking car and is particularly nice in the new Misano Blue metallic paint job. It gets a signature kidney grille with vertical chrome slats, stretched silhouette, and four frameless doors.

2. The 2GC also gets full-LED headlights, LED taillights, and 17-inch alloy wheels. The cabin comes with sport seats with electrical memory function, a 12.3-inch digital instrument display, a 10.25-inch infotainment system, a large panoramic glass sunroof, ambient lighting, wireless charging and more.

4. The 2GC is offered in both petrol and diesel engine options. The former is a 189 bhp 2.0-litre motor, while the diesel option also gets a 2.0-litre oil burner which makes 188 bhp.

1. The BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe gets a refined diesel engine, however, there is a touch of lag you will detect - especially at lower rpms and mostly only in city traffic.

2. Wireless charger is only offered with the top-of-the-line M Sport variant of the 2GC.
