Honda CBR650R deliveries have started from the Honda BigWing dealership in Gurugram

The Honda CBR650R gets the 'R' suffix, underscoring a change in the middleweight sportbike's position from a more touring-oriented Honda CBR650F to one with a sportier personality. With styling inspired by the litre-class Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade, the CBR650R features new styling with its sharp, aggressive lines and extended side fairings, together with a sportier riding position. The CBR650R also gets full-LED lighting, and a digital LCD display.

On the mechanical front, the Honda CBR650R also features a slipper clutch to aid in rapid downshifting and also Honda's traction control system, called the Honda Selectable Torque Control System (HSTC), which is switchable. The CBR650R's chassis is also 6 kg lighter than the CBR650F, and is said to be more agile with tauter handling. Suspension is handled by 41 mm upside down Showa Separate Function Forks (SFF), and braking is handled by 310 mm twin front discs with Nissin four-pot calipers and a single 240 mm rear disc with standard dual-channel ABS. The new Honda CBR650R is available on sale at the Honda BigWing dealership in Gurugram, as well as 22 Honda WingWorld dealerships around the country.
