India Kawasaki Motors (IKM) has launched the 2019 model year Kawasaki Ninja 1000 with prices remaining unchanged at Rs. 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) over the outgoing model. The Kawasaki Ninja 1000 is assembled in India at IKM's Pune Plant from semi-knocked down (SKD) kits, and comes with standard ABS and three-mode Kawasaki Traction Control. The new Kawasaki Ninja 1000 gets some minor cosmetic upgrades and will be available in two colours - black and green. There are no technical changes in the 2019 Kawasaki Ninja 1000.

"We are glad to inform all our stakeholders that MY 2019 Ninja 1000 is being launched in India on a same day as it is getting launched in other countries. We always have seen a positive response to Ninja 1000 in the India market because it offers everyday comfort and enhanced touring performance," said Yutaka Yamashita, Managing Director, India Kawasaki Motors.

The 2019 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 has features like chin spoilers which are similar to those on the Ninja H2 and Ninja ZX-10R models and come with dual LED headlights. Other features on the new Ninja 1000 include assist and slipper clutch, Kawasaki intelligent anti-lock brake system and ample and low and mid-range torque.

The 2019 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 continues to be powered by the same engine as the outgoing model. The 1,043 cc, 16-valve, in-line four, liquid-cooled engine makes 140 bhp at 10,000 rpm with peak torque of 111 Nm kicking in at 7,300 rpm. The Ninja 1000 gets a 19-litre fuel tank and has a kerb weight of 239 kg. The three-mode traction control offers sporty riding performance in Mode 1 and 2, while Mode 3 offers increased stability while riding on slippery surfaces. Bookings are now open at Kawasaki dealerships across India for the 2019 Ninja 1000.
