Yamaha Motor India is all set to introduce Bluetooth connectivity options for all its products on sale in the country. The announcement was made during the launch of the new Yamaha FZ-X by Ravinder Singh, senior vice president, sales and marketing, Yamaha Motor India. The newly launched Yamaha FZ-X and the updated RayZR and Fascino scooters already feature Bluetooth connectivity along with the FZS-FI range. Other models like the MT-15, R15 and the 250 cc range will get Bluetooth soon. The launch timeline for other models in the Yamaha line-up getting Bluetooth is yet to be revealed.

Yamaha India Motor has two Bluetooth apps on offer for India, the Yamaha Motorcycle Connect X and the Y-Connect. The Motorcycle Connect-X app has features like answer back, battery voltage, parking record, e-lock, locate your bike, riding history and so on. Similarly, the Y-Connect app offers features like call and SMS alerts, battery level of the connected mobile phone, malfunction notification, rev dashboard, fuel consumption, and maintenance notification and so on.

From what we gather, Yamaha will offer Bluetooth connectivity as an option on all its two-wheelers. For example, the newly launched FZ-X is offered in two variants too, with the standard model priced at Rs. 116,800 (Ex-showroom), while the FZ-X with smartphone connectivity is priced at Rs. 119,800 (Ex-showroom). The difference in price for both models is Rs. 3,000. One can expect similar strategy for other Yamaha models, going forward.
